Parliament Diary

Parliament met for the nineteenth sitting of the Session today.

Rajya Sabha today passed the Mines and Minerals Bill, along with the Coal Mines Bill and the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill.

Lok Sabha continued its discussion on the agrarian crisis in the country.

The Mines and Minerals Bill after being passed by the upper house with amendments was then passed by the Lok Sabha again incorporating the changes.

Today was the last day before the houses break for recess to meet again on April 20, 2015.

Productivity for this Session has been at a high of 121% in Lok Sabha and 108% in Rajya Sabha as of yesterday. Question hour has functioned for 88% of its scheduled time in Lok Sabha and 98% of its scheduled time in the upper house.
