Lok Sabha adjourned early due to disruptions and could not take up scheduled business.
Rajya Sabha continued the general discussion on the Union Budget. In the debate, members spoke on a range of issues related to the economy, allocations to schemes and sectors such as education, health, special category status of Andhra Pradesh, among others. Some members raised specific questions related to the implementation of GST and the compensation to states and the e-way bill.

Today is the last day of the first half of the Budget Session. The second half of the Budget Session will commence on March 5, 2018.
Lok Sabha has had 7 sittings and Rajya Sabha has had 8 sittings. While Lok Sabha has seen a productivity of 109% by sitting long hours on a number of days, Rajya Sabha’s productivity stood at 93%, as of yesterday.
Question Hour in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, however, functioned for only 48% and 39% of its scheduled time respectively.
No government legislative business was taken up during the first half. The discussion on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address and General Discussion on the Union Budget were the two significant debates that took place in both houses.
