The Indian Antarctic Bill, 2022 was on the agenda in Lok Sabha. The Bill introduces a permit requirement for expeditions to Antarctica and undertaking certain activities. For this, a Committee on Antarctic Governance and Environmental Protection will be set up. The Bill was not taken up. In Rajya Sabha, the Bill to amend the Weapons of Mass Destruction and their Delivery Systems (Prohibition of Unlawful Activities) Act, 2005 was again listed, but was not taken up.
