Little business was transacted in the Monsoon Session of Parliament as protests over the CAG audit of coal block allocations regularly disrupted proceedings. Both houses fell significantly short of their initial plans. The initial sittings of the session saw discussions on the violence in Assam and incidents of shooting at Sikh residents in the US.
