  • Contribution to the FundThe Act provides for an employer to contribute to the Fund, one rupee per employee for each day of work done by him in a cashew factory.  Each employee shall also contribute one rupee for each day of work done by him in a cashew factory.  Further, the government shall annually contribute, by way of a grant, an amount equal to the amount paid by the employees.  The Ordinance enhances the contribution of employers and employees to two rupees per day of work.  Further, it reduces the government’s share of annual contribution to the Fund to 50% of the total contribution made by employees.
